DāM-FunK — “Palm Springs”

Don’t fight the feeling, press play on “Palm Springs” from DāM-FunK and fall into the warming, mellow mood you’ve been searching for. The Cali governor of groove moves listeners yet again with this slow-paced, top-down five-minute cruise, offering a taste of what looks to be another strong year from FunK. My mind, body, and soul are ready.

OnCue — “Deep End” Video

No matter how many times we tend to forget, we’re all works in progress. On “Deep End,” OnCue reminisces on demons in the rearview, offering a melodic confessional that looks forward, capturing listeners with open-armed transparency atop invigorating production you can feel in your chest. Thankfully for us all, Cuey’s hindsight continues to help him evolve into a man who should inspire himself as much as any of his avid listeners.

Curtis Roach — “Stressed Out”

Curtis Roach clearly knows how to make timely tunes, because who the hell hasn’t been “Stressed Out” lately? This imaginative release from the 313 rising star manages to bottle the frustration and confusion we’ve all been feeling over the last 350 into an appropriately anxiety-riddled track, which will surely serve as a sonic time capsule in years to come. #LockdownVibes

Sad Night Dynamite — “Krunk”

Sorry, “Krunk” has re-entered the lexicon, and it’s warranted. This priority jam from Sad Night Dynamite’s new self-titled album is so clean, yet raw, my head is simply left spinning. The UK duo has laced this dose of jungle death funk with ominous, deadpan vocals, offering a final product that is wicked on various levels. Stream SND in full here and set the tone for your week.

B Free — “Spicy”

After cranking out loosies, viral videos, and group projects, B Free finally dropped his Dead Or Alive album. The 17-track effort features various styles of easy to digest knockers from the Motor City talent, but my personal favorite is “Spicy.” The upbeat sizzler is a playlist-friendly speaker-slammer, offering a familiar concept executed to perfection, thanks to slick bars and crisp production. Stream DOA in full here and catch up with B Free stat.

Bang Belushi — “Belushi Season”

No matter what time of year Bang Belushi drops, “Belushi Season” is what your calendar should say. This new single from the Detroit spitter features big, triumphant production from Fowl Mouth, that breaks down into smoky bars from Bang, who pretty much doesn’t let up the entire sword-wielding cut.

ALLiTiZ — “DraftKings”

Depending where you live in the country, online gambling is legal and everything from sports betting to blackjack can be played from the comfort of your phone. While that ease of access seems like a blast, ALLiTiZ’ new track “DraftKings” uses haunting production and nervy raps to explain how quickly online betting can get the best of anyone looking for easy action.

District 21 — “July”

Even as temps have starting to turn up across the country, “July” still feels a ways away. Thankfully, District 21’s got heat to tide us over until beach weather is in effect. This melodic, guitar-laden single is perfect mood music for the portable speaker, whether you’re placing it on a sandy towel or a wet kitchen counter. Soak up the sun-drenched video above, then stream here.

24. — “Can’t Stop”

The groove feels great on “Can’t Stop” from 24. Part dance track, part rap track, this upbeat new single from the Nashville/Huntsville rapper offers the type of luscious live vibes that warrant repeat listens and solo house parties. Just following along, right?
