LION BABE — “Going Through It”

If you’re not “Going Through It,” let some time pass. When the anxiety finally adds up, this new stand-out from LION BABE will be there to help you settle into the storm. The head-nodding groove comes from the rising NYC duo‘s new Rainbow Child album, which is packed with high-end, luscious production and offers choice features from the likes of Ghostface and Trinidad James. Stream in full here.

Sam Austins Feat. Sir Chloe — “JOY FOR YOUTH” Video

Don’t you dare put Sam Austins in a box. This multi-faceted Detroit artist continues to push his musical boundaries on “JOY FOR YOUTH,” a whimsical indie pop ditty that leans punk but plays nice enough to warrant smiles amongst the mosh pit.

Ola Feat. Brandi Janai — “Black Sings Blues”

In a world where most rappers would rather share their highs, hearing “Black Sings Blues” from Ola feels much more apropos. The downtrodden cut feels honest, from the gut and in turn, resonates more than most cuts from his contemporaries. Haven’t heard a mundane track from Ola yet.

Johnny Quest The Rebel Feat. Ruff Dyamond— “Never Fold” Video

There’s power in consistency. Breadth equates to bread. That’s why “Never Fold” is the anthem. Listen as Johnny Quest The Rebel lays down the law of staying focused, offering the ambitions of a hustler whose engine is well-oiled. This soulful cut has layers, so don’t hesitate to rewind a time or two.

Anthony Danza — “Same 24”

Excuses don’t buy time, they waste time. On “Same 24,” Anthony Danza reinforces the need to keep your eye on the prize and not let leeches keep you from gaining your proper acceleration. This is one of many high-end jams on Danza’s new Straight Talk album, which makes good on the title and has nothing but high-gloss production throughout. Stream in full here.

Jett I Mastyr — “CONFUSION”

Feeling scatterbrained? Spark a stogie and turn up “CONFUSION.” This extremely certified instrumental from Jett I Mastyr feels tailor-made to help listeners dial into their day and boss up indefinitely. Get your game up with this jewel and more via Jett I’s new TIMEPIECE LP. Stream in full here.

Young Roc & Oba Rowland — “Cash App”

Since they’re known for running up a check, Young Roc and Oba Rowland are always accepting payments via “Cash App.” The two extremely versatile Detroit rappers come in hot on this short-but-sweet wave, which carries Roc’s patented haze and Oba aces with ease. An ObaRoc EP would be welcomed.

Tommy Swisher — “All Love” Video

While “All Love” would be great, we inevitably take we can get. Case in point, Tommy Swisher’s short but sweet new single, where the ATL rapper makes the most out of busted relationships, turning out a minor singalong banger that justifies pulling out the umbrella whenever is clever.

Macntaj Feat. X-Raided & King Leez — “Motive” Video

Macntaj has been making the most of his last year, delivering nothing but high-quality visuals in the same vein as his new one for “Motive.” The video concepts are clever, funny and budget-friendly, while the welcoming production allows the weighted raps to stand tall. Now that’s the ticket.
