With music easily made and readily shared by new artists every day, there are hundreds of high quality songs that fly under the radar. Every week, @BEWARE4 scours the web to weed out the dimes from the duds and share the wealth via BEWARE’s Block, a collection of eight buzzing tracks from artists currently breaking ground in their respective genres.

K.A.A.N. — “Goof Troop”

Magical, almost Disney-esque melodies, mixed with murder flows from K.A.A.N? Bitch, that’s a “Goof Troop.” You don’t need tickets to ride, you simply need speakers than can handle the rumble. Listen to this stand-out and more on K.A.A.N.’s Naivete album here.

J’DEMUL — “Truman”

Simplicity is essential to “Truman,” the latest single from J’DEMUL. Featuring perfectly tightened drums and a warbled vocal sample lifted straight from a pop song, this booming but barebones record feels like a long look in the mirror from the young but already weathered STL MC, who uses his deadpan flow to deliver stick up raps with consequence. You’re going to like this one.

Young Roc & Whyandotte — “Work” (Prod By BEWARE)

If you’re the type of person who can’t help but “Work” on their day off, my new single with Young Roc and Whyandotte is the 5 Hour Energy replacement you didn’t know was needed. The synth-heavy record is big and booming, with stand-out verses from both the rising Detroit talents, offering a boost of audible adrenaline that keeps 5'OClock in reach, no matter how long your day has been.

Pouya X Boobie Lootaveli X Spock — “Bitch, Park Backwards”

Pouya has been bigger than this column for a while now, but I really wanted to post this one. Featuring Boobie Lootaveli and Spock, the gang-related single finds the Florida rhymers sliding into the club deep as the Gulf Of Mexico, stirring shit up atop DJ-Mustard-esque production. The record is a riot and bound to get someone arrested. Hopefully it’s not you.

Lil Bizzy — “Ka$h”

Like his pops, Lil Bizzy has a penchant for spazzing on beats. If you’re unfamiliar, listen to the Cleveland youngblood go for broke on “Ka$h,” a timely and twisted single that’s relatively straightforward, but warrants multiple listens for obvious reasons.

WemmyMo — “Yo Momma Bad Bad”

We all have that one friend who’s mom is finer than we’d ever admit. Well, WemmyMo isn’t holding back on “Yo Momma Bad Bad,” a lighthearted and fashionably fluid single that outlines all the reasons why his homie’s mum is milf status and feels good from front to back — without ever being too corny.

Ant Clemons — “Beep”

Don’t sleep on “Beep” from Ant Clemons. The slow-building single is hot to the touch and feels like an updated version of Jeremih’s “773 Love,” which is quite the compliment. Jeep people will love the shoutout too.

James Linck — “Play Wonderwall!”

Anyone who’s ever played guitar in a public setting has been asked to “Play Wonderwall!” Well, James Linck took that request concept and formally recorded a spacey, love letter to shove down the throat of anyone who’s sick of sticking to the status quo. New James Linck is always welcomed and this one feels like he’s been behind the scenes leveling up.
