With music easily made and readily shared by new artists every day, there are hundreds of high quality songs that fly under the radar. Every week, @BEWARE4 scours the web to weed out the dimes from the duds and share the wealth via BEWARE’s Block, a collection of eight buzzing tracks from artists currently breaking ground in their respective genres.

Atwood — “Careless” Video

Certain rappers stick to their scripts and rarely pivot creatively. Atwood is not one of those rappers. With a wide variety of styles and endless music to absorb, this limitless MC recently used his poetic powers to produce an unrestricted rap pop ditty that’s bound to stick to the side of your brain like bubblegum. Despite the feel good approach though, the song — much like the stunning video, doesn’t necessarily mean the results are all positive, as Wood uses his unflappable flow to shake some former female baggage, hitting some bumps along the way. This top priority record might not make radio, but is a Spotify playlist killer, for sure. Make sure to look for more out of the box hits when Atwood’s Loverboy album drops later this month.

Mani Coolin — “Persistent” Video

More often than not, being “Persistent” is what matters most. You don’t have to be the best, or work faster than everyone. Instead, putting in the routine work needed to achieve your goals, and then actually abiding by that routine, is typically the best recipe for success. Cue Mani Coolin’s latest visual, which finds the LA rapper flexing atop inviting key-based production and reminding us that he’s not only been around, he’s not going anywhere, anytime soon. Coolin has been a Block favorite, so I can vouch for his game. Playlist favorite.

Eli Fross — “Best In Da Game”

Most of you won’t agree with Eli Floss and his claim to be “Best in Da Game.” But, don’t tell him that. Listen to this babyfaced-up and comer style all over this Spanish-guitar-laced banger, and absorb the doses of no nonsense bars, delivered via a style that could only be considered Shyne mixed with Meek Mill. There’s definitely something there. Head over to his Soundcloud and listen to his recently-released Hits compilation and get hip to kid Fross.

Stam Goody — “Livin Savage”

Question, do you need to be living savage to ride with “Livin Savage” from Stam Goody? No. But, if you’re stuck in the mud and trying to dig your way out, this knocking new single from the Camden rapper will have you cleaned up in no time. Despite being gritty in content, this record is polished as can be and does everything in it’s power to get listeners activated.

CØLEMAN Feat. Hillz — “T.O.B.E.”

There’s no question Black folk aren’t appreciated like they should be. No matter the zip code, African-Americans in this country have been treated unfairly for hundreds of years and the inequality stays so commonplace, actual change still somehow feels a ways away. Yet, that doesn’t stop people like CØLEMAN from trying. With an assist from his homie Hillz, the Pasadena artist uses his new single “T.O.B.E. (Trivialization Of A Black Experience)” to deliver vivid storytelling bars about coming up through the struggle, with little assistance and seemingly the whole world against him. Despite the mellow sonic approach, the bars carry weight and succeed at educating through awareness. Great record, looking forward to more.

Skipp Whitman — “Friends” Video

Trying to become “Friends” with a pretty little thing you don’t know yet? Well, first of all, proceed with caution and don’t be a creep. Second of all, pad your pursuit with some melodic advice from Skipp Whitman. The latest video from Skipp finds the California everyman looking for love from one particular girl, using his perfectly-laced singsong flow to match the casual throwback 50s production. Stream this Summer-friendly jam stat on Spotify.

Alex Mali — “Start It Up”

Ease into today’s groove with the relaxing bounce of “Start It Up, from Alex Mali. The rising Brooklyn singer flexes her lush vocal chops and unfiltered songwriting on this open-book slow-burner, which feels even more approachable with the true handy-cam style visuals. Keep your engine running and stream the song here.

Ezra Jordan — “Is It Just Me”

Occasionally, I feel like a strung out maniac, and tracks like “Is It Just Me” from Ezra Jordan seem almost too relatable. Yet, after hearing the Toronto singer/songwriter spell out his demons on this undeniable yet unheralded pop single, I realize my internal anxiety isn’t as unique as I imagined. Turns out, my beaten down demeanor is the norm, and it actually isn’t just me. Thanks for confirming?
